Istanbul New Airport, the greatest project in the history of the Republic, will be constructed over an area of 76,5 million square meters to the north of Istanbul, in 35 km distance to the city center. The construction will be carried out in four phases. The first phase will be finalized in 2018 with the opening of three runways and a terminal with 90 million passenger capacity. Once completed, the new airport will host more than 150 airline companies flying to more than 350 destinations with an annual passenger capacity up to 200 million.
The project has been awarded at the beginning of 2016 to ORDINAT by IGA. Construction contract is signed in March. This new and 3rd airport of Istanbul will be the biggest one in Europe and it’s fuel hydrant system will be the biggest one in the world when it will be completed.
Within the scope of the Antalya International AirportExpansion Project undertaken by the TAV İNŞAAT-SERA YAPI Joint Venture, the constructionof a new fuel farm with a capacity of 85,000 m3 and the expansion of theexisting hydrant system, which will be operated by POTAŞ AKDENİZ AKARYAKITDAĞITIM A.Ş., were tendered to our company ORDİNAT in 2022.
Within the scope of this EPC (Engineering,Procurement, Construction) project, basic and detailed engineering works,mechanical piping works, equipment installations, electrical-instrumentationworks were completed at the beginning of 2025 and all systems were put intoservice.
ORDINAT is proud to have successfully completed 19 different fuel hydrant projects at 13 airports in Turkiye and other countries.
The construction of the world's largest airport jet fuel hydrant system built at once at Istanbul International Airport was successfully completed and the system was put into operation on 29.10.2018.
In addition, the JET A-1 fuel farm and additional hydrant lines were put into operation at the beginning of 2025 within the scope of the Expansion Project at Antalya Airport, which has the second largest fuel capacity in Turkiye after Istanbul Airport.
With all these references, ORDINAT has completed the installation of 1420 hydrant pits, 535 high/low point pits and 221 km of underground hydrant main pipelines of various diameters at different airports.
